LOCOMOTORA "LA PORTEÑA"

This is the name of the first locomotive that ran through Argentina.
Porteño (feminine: porteña) in Spanish is used to refer to a person who is from or lives in a port city, but it can also be used as an adjective for anything related to those port cities.
The largest city to which the term is commonly applied is Buenos Aires, Argentina, and since the end of the 19th century Porteños has come to be a name (or demonym) for the people from that city.

The Porteña locomotive built by the firm E. B. Wilson in the resort industry The Railway Foundry Leeds, England, and acquired by the administrator of the Iron Road Company, the engineer Luis Elordi. On the same trip also came his machinists, brothers John and Thomas Allan. It is a machine with a 0-4-0 ST distribution and a weight of 15,750 kg. reached a speed of about 25 km / h. A cart pulled by 30 oxen took from port to the station. He remained active until August 1889, then used it for a period of 10 years only to maneuvers.

Today it is exhibited in the Provincial Museum of Transport it is part of the Provincial Museum Complex "Enrique Udaondo" city of Lujan, along with one of the wooden carriages.

So, I decide to make a model of this locomotive. The mainly problem is does no exist any plans or blueprints availables.
I must compile all information, pictures and designs, and work only with images and with the only known measure.. the gauge.

THE TERROR - OCCRE - AMC SERIES

HMS Terror
In 1845, under the command of Sir John A. Franklin, the ships Terror and Erebus set off on an expedition to navigate the famous Northwest Passage. They were the first ships to be fitted out with auxiliary steam engines and were also reinforced with iron plating, fore and aft, to increase their resistance to pack ice. They were stocked with sufficient supplies for 3 years at sea.
The last sighting of the two ships was off Greenland was as they entered Baffin Bay, gateway to the frozen Arctic labyrinth.
With the collaboration of an Inuit hunter from the Arctic hamlet of Gjoa Haven, on 26th September 2016 the wreck of H.M.S. Terror, 168 years after her disappearance, was finally discovered. The Terror was in excellent condition. Images have been obtained of her deck and interior, showing perfectly preserved objects and parts of the ship that remained intact.
The mystery of the Franklin’s tragic expedition continues to this day, although it is hoped that an archaeological study of the wreck will help shed some light on what happened.

Based on the bestselling novel by Dan Simmons, the series is set in 1847, when an expedition team of the Royal Navy, who goes in search of the Northwest Passage, is attacked by a mysterious predator that stalks the ships and their crews in a desperate game of uncertainty and survival. Harris will play Francis Crozier, Captain of the ship HMS Terror and second in command of the expedition. A perfect captain who has hit the roof in the Navy and is disillusioned with the bureaucracy and airs of greatness of the Navy.

"The Terror reflects man's struggle with nature that makes it a series that catches. For that, you need a very special kind of actors, "says Joel Stillerman, President of Original Programming and development of AMC and SundanceTV" It's great to expand our relationship with Jared Harris and we can not wait to see it on the skin of the complex character and fascinating which is that of Captain Crozier. We are very proud to have such a versatile and talented cast in order to bring the audience a series full of survival and hope, "says Stillerman.

The Terror has in its executive production with the also scriptwriters and showrunners David Kajganich (True Story, A Bigger Splash) and Soo Hugh (The Whispers, The Killing).

The model that OcCre has produced is an excellent 1:65 scale reproduction
